General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Severe hair fall could be due to fungal infection or dermatitis affecting the scalp. Also, it could be associated with endocrine dysfunction like that of thyroid.

Hence, you need an evaluation as to know what could be the cause for hair fall, so that it can be treated accordingly.

Change in use of shampoo or oil might not help much unless the underlying cause is appropriately treated.

Kindly consult Dermatologist for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
